I had three and a half hours' sleep on Thursday night, preparatory to a contested hearing on Friday. Usually when this happens the contested hearing collapses in a negotiated settlement. We went to Somerset for three nights. Rode horses, did a lot of walking, went on the West Somerset Railway (steam from Bishop's Lideard to Minehead) and, although we didn't make it to Minehead, had a lovely prowl around a National Trust castle turned great house, its grounds and the local village in Dunster. Tomorrow is the last of the seven days I took off. I have got almost nothing visible accomplished. I bought a suit at Hobbs and have had it adjusted, and I just took in the skirt and trousers from my old suit to have them taken in -- they were so loose recently that I've been having to pin the trousers up with a safety pin to keep them from ( Read more... )
